Overview
Located in the Garden District of New Orleans, Wyndham Avenue Plaza is ideally located for visiting the different parts of Crescent City. The entrance is literally steps from the famous St. Charles Trolley line. From there, you can transfer to other trolley and bus lines to see what New Orleans has to offer.
Wyndham Avenue Plaza is both a Wyndham and WorldMark timeshare city resort. For non-owners, it can be booked on the Wyndham site, Vacation Share.

My Opinion on Timeshares.
Timeshares are definitely NOT for everyone, and timeshare salespeople are the most aggressive known to man, putting used car salespeople to shame. Be forewarned: if invited to a 45-minute sales presentation, plan on spending at least two hours. Real Estate laws vary from state to state; most allow sales ‘puffery’ or making the property look great. Some look the other way when it comes to misinformation and outright lying. In some states, they can claim timeshares are a great investment; they are not. The value of a timeshare goes to almost zero as soon as you sign the papers. I have owned timeshares for around twenty-five years. Contact me with any questions. I will give you my honest opinion.
Wyndham Avenue Plaza Room
The resort has studios and one-bedroom suites. The only difference appears to be the size. Both have mini kitchens. The studio sleeps a maximum of 2 people; the One-bedroom suite sleeps 4 (the sofa couch is for 2). I stayed in a one-bedroom suite.
The bedroom was spacious, with enough storage in a dresser and a closet for hanging clothes.

The kitchen was a Mini kitchen but adequate. The cooking equipment was limited, but it met my needs.

The dining room table made an OK office, while the living room was more than I needed.

Like almost all city resorts, Wyndham Avenue Plaza has a hefty parking charge. The actual cost is based on your ownership. I paid $23 per night.
Conclusion
Other than the obligatory “owner’s update”, my stay was great. I took advantage of the trolley to visit the National WWII Museum and the French Quarter. You may have noticed that I stayed during August, not the smartest choice, but it was part of a larger trip that culminated in a tour of Spain.
